We’re delighted to have submitted evidence to the Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) Committee to support their inquiry into corporate governance. The focus of our submission is on director duties and we considered the following three questions around transparency, effective challenge and employee interests:
- Should additional duties be placed on companies to promote greater transparency?
- How best should the decisions of boards be scrutinised and open to challenge?
- How are the interests of shareholders, current and former employees best balanced?
