We will be co-hosting a seminar with Simmons & Simmons on 25th February 2015.
Information risk is the risk of a board making the wrong decision because they don’t have the right information. The quality of information that boards receive is under increasing scrutiny and it is more important than ever to ensure that your board is equipped with the right information to guide their decisions.
At this roundtable session, we will discuss what constitutes “right” information and we will look at examples where legal action has been taken against the board for not adequately disclosing or considering information. We will look at the board and company secretary’s responsibilities and we will suggest practical approaches and principles that can be used to help ensure that the right information is coming to the board in order to manage information risks.
This event is a forum for senior people to consider some of the pressing issues facing the board today in this area and to share experiences on a confidential basis with their peers. Places are deliberately limited in order to facilitate discussion.
Charles Mayo and Victoria Hewitt, Simmons & Simmons and Pippa Begg, Director Board Intelligence, experts in Board Reporting, will be co-hosting the event.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be a stimulating debate. For more information, please email alexandra.james@boardintelligence.co.uk
