FAQs
-
What is IQ?
IQ is the AI intelligence layer of the Board Intelligence platform. It comes in two layers. IQ Insights helps directors understand their board materials; pack overviews, paper summaries, critical information, and historical context. IQ Experts helps them sharpen their thinking and explore their curiosity by bringing expert perspectives across 130+ board domains, surfacing gaps and assumptions, and stress-testing decisions before the meeting. The two work together: IQ Insights gives you the foundations, IQ Experts gives you the expert perspectives.
-
How is IQ different from ChatGPT or Copilot?
Generic AI tools are good at compressing information. They summarise documents. They don't understand what boards need. IQ is purpose-built for the boardroom, drawing on twenty years of board effectiveness consulting. Where generic AI asks "what's in this document?", IQ asks "what should the board be challenging here?"
-
Will IQ replace directors?
No. IQ is designed to support the director, not to replace them. Every output is a starting point: the director asks, refines, and is accountable for the conclusion. IQ surfaces questions, gaps, and perspectives. The director makes the judgement.
-
Will IQ create groupthink?
IQ is designed to support inquiry and curiosity; to broaden perspectives, not narrow them. Each director can ask their own questions, follow their own lines of thinking, and see their own conversations. Conversations are private to the director.
-
Is my board data safe?
Yes. Nothing is stored after the response is returned. Your data is never used to improve our models. We host in your chosen jurisdiction, either on our co-located infrastructure in the UK or on the Google Cloud Platform in UK, EU, Switzerland, US and Saudi Arabia. We are ISO 27001 certified and use sophisticated role-based permissioning so only those who should see data, see data.
-
When can I get IQ Experts?
IQ Experts is available now. Talk to us today to get it set up so you can analyse any board pack, in moments.
-
How does IQ fit with the rest of the Board Intelligence platform?
IQ lives inside the Board Intelligence platform. Directors access it from within their board pack view; no separate login, no new app. If you're already a client, IQ will surface inside your existing experience. If you're new to Board Intelligence, IQ comes alongside our board portal as part of your platform.
