Effective Report Writing Workshop: 5th February
Our Effective Report Writing workshop is an interactive, two-hour session to learn how to prepare short, strategic papers that give your board the insight they need without drowning them in information. It is delivered in small groups to ensure 1-2-1 feedback is provided and is suitable for anyone who prepares reports for the board, committees or management forums.
Spaces are limited for this workshop so make sure you book now to secure a place for the special rate of £350 ex VAT.
This workshop qualifies for 2 ICSA CPD points.
Think Tank Dinner for Private Equity: 6th February
In 2019 the Board Intelligence Think Tank is expanding its focus to private equity — assessing the value of portfolio company board meetings to private equity investors, non-executives and management teams, and looking at how portfolio company board meetings can be made more valuable for all participants, whichever side of the table they sit on.
Following our Manchester dinner, we’ll be hosting a small PE professionals dinner in London under Chatham House Rule. If you’d like to join us and contribute to the debate, please contact us to request an invitation.
London Think Tank Dinner: 20th February
We launched our Think Tank — The Board is Dead. Long Live the Board — to challenge the fundamentals and stimulate fresh thinking around how boards operate. We have so far convened over 600 chairmen, CEOs and non-execs to share their thoughts on the question: “If you could rip up the rule book, what would good governance look like?”
This month, we will be hosting a small Chairman and CEO dinner under Chatham House Rule. If you’d like to join us and contribute to the debate, please contact us to request an invitation.
SMR — A Missed Opportunity?: 26th February
Many firms think reporting under the Senior Managers Regime is “over and done with”, and now treat it as a box-ticking exercise. This is a mistake — and one that could leave your organisation exposed. What’s more, this is also a missed opportunity. Done correctly, SMR not only ensures compliant papers, but transforms decision-making processes and enables better decisions across the whole organisation.
So how do you make the most of SMR? How do you scale and embed its reporting requirements outside the boardroom? Join our breakfast roundtables to find out how leading financial services firms have used SMR to change the way they do business.
The Governance Grand Tour — Leeds: 28th February
Board Intelligence and our partners welcome you to this unique (and free) one-day event — back in Leeds by popular demand. The sessions will give you practical, hands-on training to help you and your organisation achieve a step change in the quality of your governance.
Covering everything from strategies to write focused reports that get to the heart of what matters to your board, to how leading company secretary teams are streamlining their operations with technology. You will come away from the sessions ready to implement change that transforms the quality of decision making in the boardroom.
Book your place now, or have a look at the fantastic feedback from the Tour’s 2018 stops if you’d like to know more.
