Is Your Board Getting the Information It Needs?: 1st November
Boards rely on high-quality information. But how do you know what looks “good” when preparing a board report, and how can you prepare a short, strategic paper that gives the board all the insight they need? Where do boards spend their time and how can you design a board agenda that focuses on what matters? And what are the major pitfalls in the boardroom?
This half-day event with Link’s Ahead programme will answer those questions and more, covering everything from creating a mandate for change, through to embedding principles that will transform the quality of your board decision making. Click here to book your seat.
ICSA — Sports Governance Conference: 1st November
Success is important, but not at all costs, and if good governance practices fall to the wayside in the pursuit of short term glory, the organisation will ultimately suffer in the long-term. Good governance is vital in promoting long-term success, and in this conference we will look at the different facets of governance and the fundamental principles that organisations must uphold in order to get it right.
Come visit our stand during the day, or join our 12:30 talk on “Is your board getting the right information?” with Chris Hodge, Policy Advisor at ICSA, and Tom Robins, Commercial Director at Board Intelligence. For further details visit ICSA’s conference page.
SMR — A Missed Opportunity?: 6th November
Many firms think reporting under the Senior Managers Regime is “over and done with”, and now treat it as a box-ticking exercise. This is a mistake — and one that could leave your organisation exposed. What’s more, this is also a missed opportunity. Done correctly, SMR not only ensures compliant papers, but transforms decision-making processes and enables better decisions across the whole organisation.
So how do you make the most of SMR? How do you scale and embed its reporting requirements outside the boardroom? Join our breakfast roundtables to find out how leading financial services firms have used SMR to change the way they do business.
Board Packs Uncovered: 8th November
Our Best Practice Board Packs Uncovered breakfasts bring together chairmen, board directors, company secretaries and governance professionals to explore current reporting trends and challenges. We also showcase a library of best practice templates and board reporting solutions to indicate what market leading boards are doing.

London Think Tank Dinner: 28th November

We have so far convened over 600 chairmen, CEOs and non-execs to share their thoughts on the question: “If you could rip up the rule book, what would good governance look like?”
This month, we will be hosting a small Chairman and CEO dinner under Chatham House Rule. If you’d like to join us and contribute to the debate, please contact us to request an invitation.
Reimagining Board Reporting: 30th November
Do you know how much time and money your organisation spends on board papers? And is the investment you’re making driving tangible results in the boardroom? The Board Reporting Calculator, developed by Board Intelligence in partnership with ICSA, highlights the hidden costs of your process — but how do you respond to these findings?
Join our Reimagining Board Reporting breakfast roundtable to discuss with your peers how leading Company Secretary teams are looking beyond board portals to transform the efficiency and effectiveness of board reporting.
Places are limited to 10 attendees per session so please be sure to register early.
