SMR — A Missed Opportunity?: 24th January
Many firms think reporting under the Senior Managers Regime is “over and done with”, and now treat it as a box-ticking exercise. This is a mistake — and one that could leave your organisation exposed. What’s more, this is also a missed opportunity. Done correctly, SMR not only ensures compliant papers, but transforms decision-making processes and enables better decisions across the whole organisation.
So how do you make the most of SMR? How do you scale and embed its reporting requirements outside the boardroom? Join our breakfast roundtables to find out how leading financial services firms have used SMR to change the way they do business.
Company Secretary Association Board Reporting Seminar: Manchester, 31st January
KPMG and Board Intelligence welcome you to this free half-day event covering everything from how to structure your board meetings so they focus on what matters, to strategies for writing shorter, sharper reports that stimulate more productive conversations in the boardroom. We’ll also look at the role a diverse and inclusive board can play in driving effective governance.
Join the sessions to learn what market-leading boards are doing and to see how easy it is to achieve a step-change in the quality of decision making in your boardroom.
Manchester Think Tank Dinner for Private Equity: 31st January
In 2019 the Board Intelligence Think Tank will expand its focus to private equity — assessing the value of portfolio company board meetings to private equity investors, non-executives and management teams, and looking at how portfolio company board meetings can be made more valuable for all participants, whichever side of the table they sit on.
In January, we will be hosting a small PE professionals dinner in Manchester under Chatham House Rule. If you’d like to join us and contribute to the debate, please contact us to request an invitation.
