Manchester Think Tank Dinner: 2nd October
We launched our Think Tank — The Board is Dead. Long Live the Board — to challenge the fundamentals and stimulate fresh thinking around how boards operate. We have so far convened over 600 chairmen, CEOs and non-execs to share their thoughts on the question: “If you could rip up the rule book, what would good governance look like?”
We’re now bringing our Think Tank to Manchester, so if you’re based in the North-West and would like to contribute to the debate, please contact us to request an invitation.
ICSA — Academy Governance Conference: 5th October
Academy trusts have an increasingly important role in in the education system. As trusts grow in size and the stakes get higher, it is vital that the systems of oversight and decision-making within these organisations are fit for purpose. Parents, carers and schools need assurance that the money their trust spends and governance arrangements in place deliver the best outcomes for pupils.
Come visit our stand during the day to discuss how our platform has helped schools and universities transform their board reporting. For further details visit ICSA’s conference page.
ICSA & Board Intelligence Webinar: Is Your Board Getting the Right Information?: 8th October
This webinar will provide listeners with an overview of ICSA and Board Intelligence guidance on Effective Board Reporting. Our speakers will look at the relationship between the quality of decisions made by the board and the quality of the information they have available to them. Noting that this is often impacted by the size and resources of the organisation, we will discuss how best to improve the quality of the information the board receives.

SMR — A Missed Opportunity?: 18th October
Many firms think reporting under the Senior Managers Regime is “over and done with”, and now treat it as a box-ticking exercise. This is a mistake — and one that could leave your organisation exposed. What’s more, this is also a missed opportunity. Done correctly, SMR not only ensures compliant papers, but transforms decision-making processes and enables better decisions across the whole organisation.
So how do you make the most of SMR? How do you scale and embed its reporting requirements outside the boardroom? Join our breakfast roundtables to find out how leading financial services firms have used SMR to change the way they do business.
Reimagining Board Reporting: 26th October
Do you know how much time and money your organisation spends on board papers? And is the investment you’re making driving tangible results in the boardroom? The Board Reporting Calculator, developed by Board Intelligence in partnership with ICSA, highlights the hidden costs of your process — but how do you respond to these findings?
Join our Reimagining Board Reporting breakfast roundtable to discuss with your peers how leading Company Secretary teams are looking beyond board portals to transform the efficiency and effectiveness of board reporting.
Places are limited to 10 attendees per session so please be sure to register early.
