Board Packs Uncovered: 7th September (London) and 25th September (Manchester)
Our Best Practice Board Packs Uncovered breakfasts bring together chairmen, board directors, company secretaries and governance professionals to explore current reporting trends and challenges. We also showcase a library of best practice templates and board reporting solutions to indicate what market leading boards are doing.
This month, we’re running this roundtable in Manchester in addition to London, so please be sure to book your place if you’re based in the North West.
FRC — Wates Principles Consultation Roundtables: 18th September
From January 2019, large private companies in the UK will be subject to new reporting requirements. Together with the FRC, join us in London (08:30–10:30am) for a breakfast roundtable where we will discuss the Principles that will help meet these requirements and shape the ongoing consultation.
Simply email Megan if you wish to attend.
The Governance Grand Tour — Edinburgh: 13th September
Board Intelligence and our partners welcome you to this unique (and free) one-day event. The sessions will give you practical, hands-on training to help you and your organisation achieve a step change in the quality of your governance.
Covering everything from strategies to write focused reports that get to the heart of what matters to your board, to how leading company secretary teams are streamlining their operations with technology. You will come away from the sessions ready to implement change that transforms the quality of decision making in the boardroom.
SMR — A Missed Opportunity?: 18th September
Many firms think reporting under the Senior Managers Regime is “over and done with”, and now treat it as a box-ticking exercise. This is a mistake — and one that could leave your organisation exposed. What’s more, this is also a missed opportunity. Done correctly, SMR not only ensures compliant papers, but transforms decision-making processes and enables better decisions across the whole organisation.
So how do you make the most of SMR? How do you scale and embed its reporting requirements outside the boardroom? Join our breakfast roundtables to find out how leading financial services firms have used SMR to change the way they do business.
Reimagining Board Reporting: 27th September
Do you know how much time and money your organisation spends on board papers? And is the investment you’re making driving tangible results in the boardroom? The Board Reporting Calculator, developed by Board Intelligence in partnership with ICSA, highlights the hidden costs of your process — but how do you respond to these findings?
Join our Reimagining Board Reporting breakfast roundtable to discuss with your peers how leading Company Secretary teams are looking beyond board portals to transform the efficiency and effectiveness of board reporting.
Places are limited to 10 attendees per session so please be sure to register early.
ICSA — Technology Conference: 28th September
Whether you are a listed business, a small private company, public sector or not-for-profit, technology is changing how businesses operate, and how they are governed.
From blockchain to automation in the workplace, the use of technology can reduce costs, improve productivity and provide companies with a competitive edge, but these benefits are not without risks. So how do we go about reaping the rewards of investment in technology whilst mitigating the threats?
Come visit our stand during the day to discuss how our technology can transform your board reporting. For further details visit ICSA’s conference page.
ICSA — Jersey Annual Dinner, Awards and Graduation: 28th September
Each year we celebrate the achievements of ICSA students and members in Jersey at this popular and prestigious black tie dinner.
We’re proud to sponsor the Company Secretarial Officer of the Year award once again, which will be given to a company secretary/company secretarial officer who provides effective team and thought-leadership, shows mastery of the complex legal and regulatory environment and plays an added-value role in the governance of his or her organisation.
We look forward to seeing you at the dinner.
