Be among the first to experience the future boardroom .
Limited to 36 seats · Starting October 2026
Board packs keep getting longer. The issues keep getting more interconnected. And AI has quietly become the biggest new variable in board oversight — one most directors are being asked to govern before anyone has taught them how to use it well themselves.
Delivered on the Board Intelligence platform that 80,000+ board members and executives already use.

The boardroom has changed
If the following questions feel familiar, the Future Boardroom Experience was built for you.

This is not another AI course . And it is not another governance course.
It is a place to practice the boardroom of the future before you're standing in it for real. Participants return to their boards with greater confidence using AI, stronger judgement when evaluating management recommendations, sharper questioning, improved strategic oversight, and a practical operating model for AI-enabled governance.

Helle Bank Jørgensen
One company. Four board meeting simulations. Different roles.
Across four connected board meeting simulations, you experience the same company from different board roles as its circumstances change, and new challenges emerge. Each meeting gives you a different perspective on the boardroom, while AI-enhanced preparation helps you go deeper into the information, uncover what others might miss and bring stronger questions and insights into the discussion.
Board Meeting Simulation One
See Beyond the Board Pack
New information changes the picture. Revisit assumptions, explore different perspectives, and test whether the board is still focused on the right risks, opportunities and priorities, including planning for resilience, and developing for the market of tomorrow and not the market of yesterday.

Board Meeting Simulation two
Challenge What You Think You Know
New information changes the picture. Revisit assumptions, explore different perspectives and test whether the board is still focused on the right risks, opportunities and priorities.

Board Meeting Simulation three
Connect the dots
Strategy, risk, technology, a natural disaster impacting a plant and the supply chain, a cyber-attack, people, stakeholder and activist investor issues collide. Make the connections, weigh competing perspectives and keep the discussion focused on what matters at board level to keep the company afloat and stay true to the ethical codex the company has been known for until now.

Board Meeting Simulation four
Look Around the Corner
The final meeting shifts the challenge from having to focus on responding to what has happened to anticipate what could happen next, and how to prepare for resilience. Use AI to explore emerging signals, potential disruptions and new opportunities, then test what they mean for the company's direction and where the board needs a greater line of sight.

What you'll take back to your boardroom
By the end of the experience, you will have practiced how to:
- Harness AI confidently to strengthen board preparation and oversight.
- Focus the board's attention on the issues that matter most.
- Improve the quality of board discussions through deeper analysis and more effective challenge.
- Navigate uncertainty with greater confidence while keeping the discussion at board level.
- Prepare for board meeting simulations more effectively by interrogating information from more angles and identifying what may be missing.
- Apply AI responsibly without weakening judgement, accountability or trust.
- Lead with greater confidence — applying stronger judgement and foresight in complex governance situations.
From T-Shaped to I-Shaped
The Boardroom Director is changing shape.
For decades, the best board directors were described as T-shaped: deep expertise in one area, broad enough awareness to connect it to everything else around the table. That still matters. But when your board can turn IQ Experts' 130+ expert perspectives on any issue in seconds, depth in one lane stops being the differentiator it once was.
The shape that matters now is a fat capital I, turned 90 degrees on its side — breadth across every domain IQ Experts can reach, held up by the judgement to know which of its answers deserve to survive contact with a real board decision. You don't need to become an expert in cyber, geopolitics or climate to use AI well in the boardroom. You need to stay curious enough to keep asking it better questions, and rigorous enough to challenge what it hands back.
Your curiosity just got a bigger reach.
130+ expert perspectives. 80+ boardroom capabilities. Built specifically for boards.
IQ Experts gives you greater breadth and depth when preparing the boardroom - helping you get more from the information in front of you and explore beyond it. During the board meeting simulations, you practice using that advantage where it matters: in the quality of your contribution.
- Interrogate board papers
- Test assumptions
- Surface what may be missing
- Connect risks and opportunities
- Explore alternative perspectives
- Look further ahead

FAQs
-
Do I need AI experience?
No. The experience assumes no prior AI knowledge and is built around board governance, not technical skill.
-
Will I be with the same small group every session?
No, your boardroom is reshuffled for each of the four simulations, so you work with different peers each time. The company and its storyline carry forward regardless; the board minutes from each session brief the next group on where things stand.
-
How long is each Board Meeting Simulation?
Each Board Meeting Simulation is 90 minutes, live and interactive. Participants contribute directly to the board discussion throughout, working through the issues together as they would around a real board table. To view the full schedule for the pioneering cohort click here.
-
Is this a new version of the GCB.D programme?
No. This is an entirely new experience — not a rebrand, replacement or update of the GCB.D Designation and Certification Programme. GCB.D continues as a distinct programme, with its own curriculum and live faculty discussions. The Future Boardroom Experience is different by design: it is built entirely around four connected, live Board Meeting Simulations. Powered by Board Intelligence’s advanced board portal and AI capabilities, the boardroom itself becomes the learning environment.
-
Will sessions be recorded?
No. Their value comes from live participation and candid discussion.
-
What is the investment?
It's $6,500 USD for the founding cohort - a fixed, one-time fee covering all four simulations, the Board Intelligence platform and IQ Experts access, your certificate and Credly credential, and your place in the alumni community. Full details, including payment terms, are confirmed once your application is accepted.
