About the author

Niamh Corbett joined Board Intelligence in 2016 to co-lead the consulting team. Since then, has held several commercial roles across the business, including building the Financial Services practice and launching the US business. Today, she serves Global Financial Services Lead and Head of Americas, spearheading the growth of the business in these areas and working closely with complex, international clients to supercharge the effectiveness of their boards, committees, and leadership teams.

Niamh began her career in financial PR with Brunswick before moving into investment banking, spending several years at Morgan Stanley advising FTSE boards and management teams on their UK capital market interactions.

Niamh speaks and writes regularly on topics related to board effectiveness, corporate governance, and financial regulation. She has appeared on numerous podcasts, such as Women Governance Trailblazers and McKinsey's Inside the Strategy Room, co-authored a fortnightly column in the Financial Times, and contributed to pieces in industry publications such as Governance Intelligence. She has also led research projects with respected organisations like the National Association of Corporate Directors and contributed to director education with leading business schools and professional bodies, such as Club NED and the University of Edinburgh Business School.

She has a degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
