Board Intelligence launches flagship board development experience to help leaders govern with confidence in AI-enhanced boardrooms. New global training platform combines Board Intelligence’s AI capabilities and board development expertise to enhance boardroom skills through live simulations.
LONDON, 16 September 2026 — Board Intelligence, EMEA’s largest board technology and advisory firm, today announces the launch of the Future Boardroom Experience, a new flagship board development platform designed to help board chairs, directors, and senior leaders build and hone leadership skills in an AI-enhanced boardroom.
The Future Boardroom Experience, which has been developed by the board development experts behind the globally respected Global Competent Boards Designation (GCB.D), delivers live simulations which put leaders inside the most challenging situations their organisations could face and ensures board members are prepared for today’s rapidly evolving business environment.
The Future Boardroom Experience launches in October 2026 and will bring together chairs, board directors, and senior executives from around the world, with leaders from 14 countries already registered to take part in the pioneering first cohort. The simulations will be powered by the latest AI capabilities for board members, including Board Intelligence’s IQ Experts, an AI tool available inside the Board Intelligence board portal that gives directors access to more than 130 expert perspectives and 80 boardroom capabilities, allowing them to open up their board materials with superhuman reach, depth, and speed.
The launch comes as leaders grapple with how AI will reshape both the organisations they oversee and the way boards themselves work. Board Intelligence’s latest Board Value Index found that while 84% of boards have discussed which decisions should remain human-led versus AI-led, only 49% are actively reviewing the issue. At the same time, 86% of directors say rigid or inconsistent board processes have contributed to delayed, rushed, or poor decisions in the past six months, highlighting the need not only to embrace new technology, but to rethink and practise how boards make decisions in an increasingly complex and fast-moving environment.

The Future Boardroom Experience’s pioneering global cohort
The first Future Boardroom Experience will take place across four live sessions between October and December 2026. Across the four simulations, participants will practice how to see beyond the board pack, reassess assumptions, govern through complexity, and look around the corner at what may be coming next.
Participation is limited to 36 people, creating a global cohort of experienced chairs, board directors, and governance professionals who are equipped to govern in the AI era. On completion, participants will receive a Certificate in AI-Enhanced Board Leadership, together with a verified Credly digital credential to recognise and share their achievement.
